Fountain Valley, CA — No, it wasn't a championship match or CIF match, just a plain ole dualie in the Trinity League. Never-the-less, it is one of the top must win, last match battle Koach has ever seen on boys or girls team. KOach kept subbing singles in trying to find someone who could stop the bleeding... not only did Luke Krowlikowski do that, he inflicted some damage! Scene: JSerra goes up 9 to 8 with Luke facing Mater Deis 2nd best player, the total game count at this point is 61 to 61... Luke has to win as the point differential would be in the Monarchs favor with a 9-9 tie. With both teams all gathered around this famous center court...Luke kept plugging away for a 6-4 win, assuring the 10-8 victory for JSerra. Other great note today was Gary and Brady sweeping all 3 sets, giving up only 1 measley game. They are obviously MVP's of this match too, but, I am going to single out Luke for this!!! Our doubles took 7 0f the 9 singles sets while Zach picked up 2 easy ones in singles w/ Luke's epic win putting us over the top! This is a match that we will all remember forever, Luke will never forget it. This type of win is what propels a player to the next level! It ALSO keeps our CIF hopes alive!
