This just solidifies my observation that depth wins high school tennis matches, not 1 or 2 great players. The pivotal match came in Round 1 with Joe, Joe Bond and Nick Dubrow coming from behind to squeak out a 7-5 victory at lin3 3 dubs, giving JSerra a 4-2 advantage going into the second round. Joe and Nick's win took the wind out of their sails, although, nothing is for certain. The Lions rounded the last curve up 8-4 in sets going into round 3, where OLu swept all 2 singles, closing the gap to 9-6..If OLu gets to 9, we lose on game count. But, the LIONS played tough, sweeping round 3 just as they had rounds one and two. ALL doubles players are MVPs today! "This is the 1st time I can remember ever sweeping all 9 dubs vs a GOOD opponent'" says KOach Kirk.
