Fairfield, CA — The Vanden Boys Varsity Team won easily in three straight sets over Golden Sierra High School. Both outside hitter Noah Yi and middle blocker Edwin Daugherty had a strong game. Each led the team with 5 points with several kills. Defensive specialist Gavin Kayas also had a strong game in passing. The team will travel to Vacaville on Wednesday to play against Vacaville Christian High School.

Gavin Kayas is a senior who finally made the varsity team this year. His free ball passing ability has been great and making setter’s job easier during the game. He has been practicing and playing well as of late. He has taken full advantage of the situation whenever he was afforded an opportunity. He has contributed to the team’s success with his much improved passing skill which is the most critical aspect of the volleyball game. Keep up the good work!
