Game MVP

Ben Winkler
#5 D
Franklin D Roosevelt Boys Varsity Lacrosse

Performance

Ben got a lot of playing time in this game and showed the older guys what keeping your stick out in front can do for you. Ben had multiple take aways and helped in the clearing game.

CO-MVP
Jackson Booth
Goalie played on his head. Many saves especially late in the game saving multiple shots with in seconds of each other. Jackson ran down the field twice and got a shot on each attempt. He scored a goal on one of them! Clearing was slowed down and some great decisions were made with the ball although some passes could have been more on target. Keep working kid, it's looking good!

Patch Dolan
Patch worked the entire field helping in the clear game, running the offense, and riding on turnovers. With multiple goals early in the game (one less than a minute into our first possession), Patch set himself up to quarterback and distribute the ball on in the second half. Great looks were thrown to players who had multiple goals in this game and to players who took their first shot as an FDR Varsity lacrosse player.

Tyler Sotanski
Tyler had a couple big clears that led to multiple goals for him on the day. Some big slap checks to cause turnovers. I'd like to see that stick out in front throwing more pokes. Overall great game.

Dillon Contarino
Dillion has proven he can move a defender and get in scoring position with his bull dodge. We saw Dillion use his left hand for the first time in a game and even though it led to a drop it is a big step to help him keep improving his game. Dillion scored multiple goals many from a strong dodge with his right hand and at least one outside rip on the run. Lots of things to still work, which is kind of scary based on his goals/ game average when you think about how much more he can improve.

Solid Defense all night. Couple of good clears. The biggest compliment a defender can get sometimes is not really noticing his play because he wasn't getting scored on.

Jack Goldstein
Jack is another one of those guys who played great but still has a ton of potential for improvement. I expect multiple 3-4 goal games from him as this winter season progress. Jack also showed more drive subbing and riding through out the game which led to some extended possessions for the team.
