Rancho Santa Margarita, CA — Thursday’s Frosh/Soph game was a defensive battle for the first ¾ of the game playing at 0-0. Then SM struck first to make it 1-0. The way this highly physical game was going, it felt like the score would hold. Then, minutes later, Meg Vanis put in a fabulous header to tie the score 1-1. SM scored in the last few minutes to get the victory 2-1. This was one of those hard-fought matches that no team deserved to lose.
