Vossman stands in against the Bingham pitcher.
Placentia, CA — The Hawks battled all game in a back and forth affair with Bingham High School from Utah. Trailing 9-6 in the bottom of the 7th Camaren Sweet got a base hit and Nick Yoshioka who had 3 hits on the day, lined a double to left field. Shaun Turner then walked on a 3-2 count loading the bases. Spencer Vossman squeeze bunted towards third and 2 runs scored. Michael Jeanblanc who had a triple and two RBIs in the previous inning walked loading the bases for the Hawks. Nate Yount hit a hard grounder to second and the throw to 2nd for the force was late. With the score tied 9-9 and 1 out, Cameron Kjorness bunted towards third and the Bingham third baseman was unable to make the the play allowing the winning run to score. The Hawks are now 4-8 on the season and start the second round of league on 4-19-17 against El Modena.
