Emily Iannotti Strikes out the Valencia batter to end the inning.
Placentia, CA — In a hard fought battle,Valencia and Cypress went to extra innings. Emily Iannotti pitched a great game for Cypress keeping the Tigers off balance for most of the game. The Centurions had runners in scoring position the last three innings but couldn't push a run across. In the bottom of the eighth Valencia's Taylor Brown came up with two outs and blooped a single just out of the reach of the second baseman Michelle Borchardt. Lauren Saucedo scored from second base giving Valencia the win. The Tigers are 1-0 in league and 9-2 overall. The Centurions drop to 0-1 in league and 8-6 overall.
