North Canton, OH — The lady polar bears fell to Hoover 52-49 yesterday. Despite a hard fought effort, the bears couldn’t come out with the W. There were multiple lead changes as the bears led at halftime 19-18, were tied 31-31 after the third quarter, and tied 43-43 with 2:20 to go in the 4th. The bears couldn’t overcome a 7-0 run by the Vikings late in the 4th quarter. Megan Campbell hit two 3’s, with under a minute left, to bring the bears within 3. They got a turnover with .3 seconds left in the game but didn’t have enough time to get a shot off from the inbound pass. Emma Dretke led the way with 18 points/6 rebounds/3 blocks. Megan Campbell added 13 points/5 steals. Lauren Pallotta had 12 points/7 rebounds/4 steals. Halle Ignacio added 6 points. Emma Dretke also scored her 1000th point! She is the 4th player in program history to do so… such a huge milestone!!
