Costa Mesa, CA — On this day Oct 7th the Estancia girls varsity tennis team hosted orange H.S. Earlier this season the girls of Orange H.S had defeated a short handed Estancia team 11-7. So the Estancia girls were hoping for a different outcome this time around and although still short handed, they had a little but of an advantage that they were at home. The match went back and forth until the end when the final set score was revealed ..... 9-9 was the score . that meant we had to count the games and in the end Estancia came out ahead 88-78. This match put Estancia right back into the play-off picture. Highlight of the day where Tara Schroeder who and three convincing wins along with Tara Spas and Sofia Kehoe who once again swept all three of their matches. in other singles matches Sophia Person would grind all day long to keep us with in reach as did Claudia Colindres. In Doubles Kaylie Tran and Giselle Hernandez bounced back from Tuesdays match to get two out of three sets for us. All in all a team victory on a day when Estancia was again short handed.
