santa ana, CA — Memory aside, not sure that any JSerra team has posted a full Golden match, in which not one single game was lost. (Maybe we’ve been on the wrong end of that once or twice on Frosh / Soph!?) Not our intention to totally squash Santa Ana, especially on JV. This match was booked for senior subs and alternates both JV and varsity. A bus was booked because Santa Ana has 11 courts and we wanted capacity to take our entire squads. Sadly, we had players who could not take advantage of this afternoon’s opportunity, so we were a little heavy handed today. The entire team was MVP’s today again, as no sets or games were lost. More importantly, JSerra ladies were humble, kind and courteous to towards their over matched opponents. Your coaches are proud of your caring attitudes this afternoon, thank you. Playing singles today: Lauren Walcott, Erica Gonzalez and Fionnuala McClain - each winning 3 sets. Playing doubles today, each playing 2 sets: Katherine Dygean with Sofia Recupero; and tri-pod teams of Meghan Reiner, Virginia Egan, Madison Valente; plus Hailey Klein, Cecilia Nama, Alma Byatt. Thank you Reiner’s and Walcott’s for providing drinks and snacks for a bus load of players! And for all our other parents and grandparents who traveled up the “5” to support our teams. You Rock!
