Garden Grove, CA — Led by Senior Varsity team members, MVP Meghan Reiner (2 of 2 sets won today) and MVP Virginia Egan (3 of 3 sets won today) JSerra traveled to Garden Grove to do battle with the Santiago Cavaliers. Listed as a Varsity match, Coach Kirk entrusted his Varsity winning streak and current winning record to the A&B JUNIOR Varsity travel squads - who came through with a 10-3 win, great job today. Additional MVP honors go to Hailey Klein, Helena Sartor and Natalie Walters who all won a set of singles after playing and winning 2 sets of doubles. Honorable mention for Lauren Walcott who was 2 for 3, losing a tough fought singles match 4-6 to their top player in the final set of the afternoon. Kudos to the doubles team of Sophie Coffin and Chelsea Hernandez who fought back from 2-5, to tie 5-5 before bowing out 7-5 in a very long 1st round match. Thanks for showing up and not giving up!
