Oceanside, CA — Varsity Game Recap OHS Pirates took on the RBV Longhorns at home on Tuesday evening at Brooks St Pool. The Pirates Varsity Team has a full roster of returners, including 11 Seniors and 1 Sophomore. The Pirates were able to make easy work of the inexperienced Longhorns who only had 2 returners, and 12 new players. The Pirates came out strong, scored quickly, and played good defensively against the Longhorns. The lack of experience in RBV’s roster allowed the entire Varsity roster for the Pirates to work on different defenses and new drives on offense. While the Pirates ultimately won the game by more than 15 points, there was still a slight disconnect in their game play, strategy, and skill work.
