Recap
Dana Point, CA — Dana Hills has politely refused our offers to play them for 14 years. A former student of mine, is now the head coach and agreed to compete..and we are glad he did.. not because we won, but, because we prefer to play schools closer to home in order to get students back home to their studies. "KOach Kirk says, "We try to avoid traipsing around the OC when it isn't necessary. Our league matches are far enough for me. Some of these girls train together and it is fun to see them compete against their fellow clinic friends."
We began round 3 with a 6-6 tie and a 2 game deficit Dana 52 game count, JSerra 50. Every point counts and had Elise not upset their top player in round 3, this score would have been tied and JSerra would have won by only 2 games ... 76-74..so, every game that Anna/Aerin and Gabbi/Sophie etc etc did not allow, Rosalia's two games in a 2 -6 loss vs their #3, Sophia's 6 games..they all add up... that's what makes this a team effort.
Imagine this being a CIF match or CIF championship!
Elises' come from behind victory vs their #3, down 1-4, then 4-5...was epic, but, her victory their true #1player sealed the deal and was a huge upset!
Let's keep working hard and concentrate on 1 practice at a time, 1 match at a time!
Go Lions!
