Shelton, CT — A trip to Shelton Monday - CIAC State Softball Tournament Class LL - Ridgefield at Shelton Shelton took advantage of 11 walks and 2 hit batsmen and defeated the Tigers 11-5. How about these totals Shelton 11 runs 3 hits 8 left on base Ridgefield 5 runs 15 hits 12 left on base The Gaels scored 3 runs in the 1st, 7 runs in the 2nd - all on 2 hits Ridgefield gave out 8 walks and hit 2 batters in the first 2 innings. Shelton did get a 2 run triple from Alexis Resto and a 2 run double from Jackie Jenco in between all the walks. Ridgefield got a 2 run single from Skylar Arent, Caroline Imbrogno had 3 hits, including 2 doubles and an rbi, and Madalen Brown had 3 hits and an rbi for the Tigers. Ridgefield also left 12 runners on base - and left the bases loaded twice! Julia Krijgsman was the winning pitcher. Shelton will host Glastonbury in the 2nd Round on Wednesday.
