South High beat us by the identical score last year in the CIF quarter finals. We were riding high, literally on the big LUX bus on way up, pretty quiet on way home. South's top 2 singles players opened up a big can of hurt on us, picking up 6 sets 36 games to 1! Had we squeaked out the last doubles set, we would have lost on total game count. Our doubles teams picked up 5 sets, singles all won vs the Spartans line 3. Great effort by everyone today; Sophia and Elise were down 4 - 0 vs line 1, fought back to 5 all, before falling 7-5. Anna and Kiley were awesome today while Olivia/Olivia pulled out an awesome tiebreak in round one. Back to the drawing board as the 2021-2022 team begins summer camp in just 6 weeks! GO LIONS!
