Home Dual vs Valley Center
Wrestling Program
Cougars had their hands full.
Escondido, CA — Another week of Valley league duals, leads to another week of a very competitive dual. Due to illness, eligibility and other circumstances dictated that both teams rely on their freshman to fill the lineups. A total of 9 freshman competed on the night. With 2 matches left the Cougars held a small lead, at 128lb the Cougars needed a win from Anthony Solis to seal the deal and he did not disappoint. Anthony’s pin gave the Cougars a hard fought 3 point victory.

Cougars claim 1st League win
San Diego, CA — The Cougars traveled to Del Norte for the 2nd week of league action. Due to illness there weren’t any girls or JV matches contested on the night. The varsity dual was exciting, back and forth action and leads swapping to each team through the 14 matches contested. Going into heavyweight the Cougars held a 42-36 lead. The Nighthawks needed a pin to tie and then the bout would come down to criteria to determine the winner. That is exactly what happened. After going down the list of criteria EHS was claimed the victor after reaching the 7th tie breaker criteria due to forfeiting less matches than the Nighthawks.
