About Me

Hi! Sophia, Addy, and Claire have been working incredibly hard over the last year, gearing up for the 2023 competitive dance season! All their effort recently paid off when our dance team (The Divas) won an invite-only experience to NYC! Currently, it looks like their entire team will be making the trip; however, we are struggling to financially make it work as we have three girls on the team vs. everyone else who has one. While the girls and I are well aware sometimes things don't work out, and not everything goes your way, we are hoping with some hard work (bakesales, carwashes, yard sales, etc.) and the support of our family and friends, we will be able to join the rest of our team in the Big Apple! The Energy Elite Experience is a 7-day pre-professional program in New York City! Every day has been thoughtfully planned out and organized to ensure we learn and grow in our craft while taking in the sights and sounds of the city! The girls will start their day at the world-renowned Broadway Dance Center, taking master classes with some of the best! That includes a master class taught by some of the Rockettes! They will spend time in front of the camera, perfecting their skills and confidence. There is even a professional photo shoot in Central Park! We will all be attending not one but TWO Broadway shows (Hamilton and MJ) with backstage access to meet the cast after! Our trip includes seven nights at the Hampton Inn right on Times Square as well three meals a day at New York’s most established hot spots like Ellen’s Stardust Diner (home of the singing waitstaff in Times Square), Junior’s Cheesecake, Hard Rock Cafe, John’s Pizza, and more! We hope to raise 10k to cover the cost of the trip (we would love to go as a family) and continue supporting the girls in chasing their dream and passion in dance. Sophia, Claire, and Addy have their minds made up that we are going (they already gave me everything in their piggy banks and cleaned out their rooms for a garage sale). Still, unfortunately, Ben and I will not be able to make this happen without some serious donations! After 20 years in the Marine Corps, we finally dropped retirement papers! And while that is very exciting, it brings a lot of uncertainty about our future... I'm so proud of my girls, on and off the dance floor. They are kind and intelligent and are growing into beautiful young ladies. With that being said, the girls would TRULY, from the bottom of their hearts, appreciate your help in getting us to NY! If you could see them light up on that stage and know how hard they have worked to get here, you would know this might be the best money you have spent in a long time :)
