Fullerton, CA — The Sunny Hills Lancers competed at the Brea Invitational hosted by Brea Olinda High School. Ivan Guzman kicked off the boys racing in the Boys Varsity 1-2 race, placing 56th with a time of 18:29.8. Ryan West and Kai Gonzales raced in the Boys Varsity 3-5 race. Ryan finished 82nd with a time of 19:18.7 and Kai finished 170th with a time of 21:41.7. Ryan ran a personal best for the course, beating his old time by 2 minutes and 8 seconds! Itzel Martinez kicked off the girls in Girls Froh/Soph 6+ race, finishing 93rd with a time of 35:47.8. Boys Frosh/Soph 6+ division was led by Chirag Agarwal, finishing 141st with a time of 22:56.2. Close behind was Jayson Trout who finished 145th with a time of 23:09. To close off the girls’ races was the Frosh/Soph 1-5 division, led by Julissa Herrera who finished 14th with a time of 23:19.1. Julissa ran a persona best for the course, beating her old time by 1 minute and 40 seconds! Close behind Julissa was Jeweliet Fields who finished 15th with a time of 23:20.1. To close off the boys’ races was the Frosh/Soph 1-5 division, led by Noah Flores who finished 22nd with a time of 19:11.2! Close behind Noah was Ishan Patel who finished 96th with a time of 21:25.1 The Lancers’ next race is the Freeway League Cluster on Wednesday, October 9 at 2PM at Clark Regional Park .
