Sparks, NV — With a limited spring break roster and against tough competition from the 3A and 4A divisions the Coral Academy track team competed well over the 2 day meet at Reed High School. Tyki Ngo ran to a 6th place finish in the 40 yard dash with a time of 5.03. Ahmed Sanousi matched his top jump of the year with a leap of 5'10" earning him a 5th place finish. Sam Case set a PR in the frosh/soph high jump with a 5'2" effort placing him 6th. In the frosh/soph throws Gavin Voskamp took first place in the discus with a throw of 125'11". He also grabbed 6th place in the frosh/soph shot put with a toss of 38'9.25" 44 new PRs were set over the weekend from both the boys and girls teams setting the Falcons up nicely at the midpoint of the season and moving forward towards championship season. Next week Coral Academy will be competing on Wednesday at North Valleys High School in the rescheduled Smitty Classic as well as on Friday in the Colfax Invite in Colfax, California.
