Vista, CA — The Vista Frosh Bash was the first all-freshman event of the year, and the first individual tournament for many of our younger wrestlers. We had a small group, as we had several come down with illness and injury. Still, we had a handful of young men who did great, and made their team proud. Alex Brown got some quality wins, but fell just shy of a medal. Marco Arias finished 4-1 on the day and took home 5th place due to match limit. Ethan Ellefsen made his first appearance at 108 lbs, and showed just how explosive he can be. He would get to the semi-finals before a wrist injury would remove him from competition. He would finish 5th place. Chris Beltran also went 4-1 and finished in 3rd place at 120 lbs! This was on of his best showings to date. Lastly, Ethan Aguila had a breakout performance, as he was the tournament Champion! Ethan would win 4 straight to claim the top spot of the day. Great job to them all!
