Lawrence, KS — September 28, 2024 - Rim Rock Classic Lawrence, KS Today was a great day to be a member of the Goddard High School Cross Country team! The Varsity Boys raced in their 4th race of the season at Rim Rock Farm in Lawrence, KS. The course is known to be challenging and pushes runners abilities to the absolute limit. Rim Rock contains many challenging hills, turns, and steep declines runners must navigate throughout the race. There is perhaps no other course in the United States as specifically dedicated to the sport of cross country as the Rim Rock Farm course. After a tough meet at the Buhler Invitational the boys worked extremely hard to become better in preparation for Rim Rock. Looking at our performance at Buhler I knew we had it in us to do something special at Rim Rock and the boys did just that! The boys ran a great race today with many individual and team accomplishments! Personally I want our boys to be running their absolute best at the end of the season. The Rim Rock Classic provided the boys with the experience we needed as we progress towards the end of our season. It was 70 degrees today at Rim Rock farm and a tough course. As temperatures get cooler and we run different courses I am extremely confident there is more to come! There is A LOT of untapped potential our boys can reach by the end of the season.
