TIME IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE Somerton Toros are invited to Gila Ridge's Big Man Competition on 7/18. Our linemen will complete against other High School teams in multiple Linemen events: 225lb Hex Bar Carry: (4 man team) The first team member will pick up the hex bar and walk it down the field 10 yards, around a cone, and back to the original starting position. Every time they pass a cone, it counts as one rep. Once the first team member drops the hex bar, a second team member will pick it up where it lies and continue walking it down and around the cones. The 3rd and 4th team members will do the same when their teammates drop the weight. Highest rep count wins. Tennis Ball shuttle: (5 man team) This is an agility race utilizing tennis balls. Players run a course while placing tennis balls at specific locations. Fastest team time wins. Team Obstacle Course (5 man team) Players will complete an obstacle course involving bags, tires, pop-up dummies, etc. Fastest team time wins. 2 Man Sled Push Relay (6 man team) Two athletes at a time will push a 2-man sled 20 yards downfield, around a marker, and back to the start line. Timer will stop once the sled has been driven down and back three times. Fastest team time wins. Final: Team Tug of war: (5 man team) Seeding based on points awarded in all previous competitions.
