Westfield, NJ — Union County Relays Moroses Breaks LJ School Record Boys PV, Girls 4x400, Girls HJ Union County CHAMPIONS The Girls team placed 3rd at the 2024 Union County Relay Championships while the Boys team placed 7th! SR Christian Moroses broke the 52 year old Long Jump record by 3 inches jumping 22’ 06”. The record was previously set in 1972 by Kevin Webb. Boys Pole Vault (SR Will O’Keefe - 10’06”, Alex Muller - 10’06” PR) are COUNTY CHAMPIONS! Girls High Jump (JR Fran Germano - 5’00” PR, JR Sanaa Wright - 4’10”, SR Damara Barnes - 4’06”) are COUNTY CHAMPIONS! Girls 4x400M (JR Ellie Semple, JR Isa Alvarez-Gomez, SOPH Lilly Costello, SOPH Courtney Toy) are COUNTY CHAMPIONS! Boys Shot placed 2nd (SR Ben Fossella - 46’00”, JR Christiano Pinto - 44’09” PR, JR Art ‘Shaggy’ Hrycak - 43’01” PR). The Girls 400IH team placed 2nd with JR Ellie Semple setting a PR of 65.93 seconds to beat her previous PR by over 2.50 seconds. JR Isa Alvarez-Gomez - 66.27 and SOPH Lilly Costello - 69.66  were the other relay members. The Girls Sprint Medley Relay placed 3rd. SOPH Courtney Toy anchored the team running the 800M around 2:17 minutes. The team consisted of FR Clover Halaby, FR Madeleine Lionetti, and SR Mikayla Sinclair. The Boys Javelin Relay placed 3rd. FR Alex Kessler (148’04” - PR), SR Will O’Keefe (137’08”) and SOPH ‘Chuckin’ Charley Wallin (111’11” - PR) comprised the relay. The Girls Pole Vault Relay placed 4th. JR Ellie Semple and JR Alex McCoy (7’06” - PR) were the team members. Girls Triple Jump placed 4th (SOPH Alexa Nofi - 33’00” PR, SR Damara Barnes - 33’07”, FR Sydney Kessler - 32’09.75” PR). Girls 4x100H placed 4th (JR Ellie Semple, JR Isa Alvarez-Gomez, SOPH Lilly Costello, JR Fran Germano).  Girls Discus Relay placed 5th (SR Kristen Fries - 109’04”, SOPH Liz Wallin - 82’07” PR, FR Kendall Meixner - 62’00”). The Girls Long Jump Relay placed 5th (SOPH Alexa Nofi - 16’00” PR, JR Sanaa Wright - 15’05.25”, and SR Damara Barnes - 15’03.25) The Boys High Jump Relay composed of SR Christian Moroses - 5’08”, JR Art Hrycak 5’06”, and JR Aidan Corlett - 5’06” placed 5th. The Boys 400IH Relay placed 6th led by SR Connor Perez - 1:01.48 PR, JR Charlie Otten - 1:02.82 PR, and JR Kylan Medard - 1:04.62 PR.
