Honesdale, PA — The Honesdale Boys Track & Field team lost a tough one to North Pocono 84 to 66. Once again Logan Novobilski led the hornets with 3 first place finishes with victories in the 1600m, 800m and anchoring the team of Peter Pham, Kobe White and Aiden Collins in the 4x400 relay. Peter Pham also had a great day with a first place finish in the 400 meter run along with a third place finish in the 200m run. Mason Avery added a second place finish in 100m dash and a 2nd place finish in the long jump. In the field, Wyatt Rutherford had a great day with wins in both the shot put and discus. Also finishing in first place in the field were Robert Quinn with a win in the pole vault and Brayden Gawron with a win in the high jump. The Honesdale Girls Track & Field team competed very strong but came away with a tough defeat after multiple tiebreakers with North Pocono 76 to 75. For the third consecutive meet, the lady hornets started strong with a win in th 3200m relay with the team of Chloee Spry, Megan Kretschmer, Vera Downey and Karson Kromko. The Hornets also won the 400m relay with the team of Elizabeth Meagher, Emma Snow, Alyssa and Alexandria Hankins. Also on the track, Brenna Dahlgren won the 1600m and Megan Kretschmer won the 800m. Roz Mikulak had another strong performance with a win in the Javelin, second place finish in the pole vault and a second place finish in the 100m dash. Erin Meagher won the 300m hurdles along with two third place finishes in both the long and triple jump. Other first place finishes in the field include Elizabeth Meagher in the high jump and Elektra Kehagias in the discus.
