After a week off, there was a little rust on the Mountaineers as they got outshot 14-4 in the first period of this tilt. Shrewsbury scored firs at 4:19 on a power play goal to take a 1-0 advantage, but Parker Meyer scored a power play goal for Wachusett at 7:25 with assists going to Matt Bjorkman and Cody Penniman.
