Toms River, NJ — Yesterday at the Central Jersey State Sectional track and field meet in Toms River, Ben Fossella and Sanaa Wright brought home titles for the Cougars. Ben won his third consecutive sectional championship with a throw of 53' 1" in the shot put and Sanaa won her first title with a mark of 5' 2" in the high jump. Also scoring for the Cougars were: Isabella Alvarez-Gomez - 2nd place - 55m hurdles Kristen Fries - 3rd place shot put Damara Barnes - 6th place - high jump Isabella Alvarez-Gomez, Ellie Semple, Maddie Lionetti, Jennie Bedgood - 6th place - 4x400m relay These athletes will compete in the Group 2 State championships on Saturday in Toms River.
