Toms River, NJ — 2024 NJSIAA Group 2 Relay Championship: Boys Place 10th, Girls Place 14th The CHS Boys placed 10th in the 2024 NJSIAA Group 2 Relay Championship meet held at the ‘Bubble’ in Toms River today. SR Ben Fossella set a new Cranford High School Winter Shot Put record (53’ 09.25”). He and JR Christiano Pinto placed 2nd in the Group 2 Shot Put Relay with a total distance of 93’ 04”. The CHS Girls placed 14th in the 2024 NJSIAA Group 2 Relay Championship meet. The Girls Hurdle Relay team placed 5th (JR Madi Passantino, JR Isabella Alvarez-Gomez, SOPH Elena Amitie, JR Gigi Halicki) while the Girls Shot Put team also placed 5th. Team was composed of SR Kristen Fries (34’ 00”) and FR Callie Blanton (22’ 10.75). Up next for the Winter T&F Cougars: 2024 UCIAC Individual Championship meet being held on Wednesday at the Ocean Breeze facility in Staten Island, N.Y.
