Fresno, CA — The Boys and Girls Varsity Cross Country teams competed in the Roughrider Invitational on Friday. The teams ran on the difficult State Meet course at Woodward Park in Fresno in races that included 352 boys and 230 girls. The boys team placed 30th, with the top finisher, Julius Camacho, coming in at 17:09.
The girls team was able to overcome the difficulty of the course, and the crowded field, coming in with a 9th place team finish out of 37 schools. Each of the girls finished in the top 100, which is not easy to accomplish in a race of this size. The top finisher for the girls was Avery Carlson, who came in 37th at 20:38. Great job to all the athletes.
