Chargers beat Bulldogs at the buzzer
After trailing the majority of the game, the Charter Oak chargers boys basketball team found some energy in the last two minutes of their contest versus West Covina High to redeem the evening. The Chargers couldn’t seem to find the right combination of defensive stops and offensive bursts to overtake the Bulldogs until the final couple minutes of play. With just over a minute left the Chargers took the lead for the first time since early in the first quarter. West Covina responded tying up the game at 61 with eight seconds remaining. Charter Oak set up an isolation play to close the game and senior Forward Jermaine Braddock closed out the game with a driving layup as time expired.
