Hawks warming up in the BYU indoor facility
Provo, UT — Our bus broke down just outside of the Utah boarder. Shout out to some parents that came to the rescue!
1. Jason Dodge- MVP had the mechanical skill and knowledge to get the bus back operational. Went above and beyond the call of duty for us. The Dodges also offered space in their vehicle to accommodate some of our boys.
2. Dan Beus- Dan also stopped and had some connections in Malta that helped us. Dan went above and beyond the call of duty to get us off the freeway. Beus’s offered up space in their vehicle as well to accommodate some of our boys.
3. Kevin Downey- Kevin stopped to help and diagnosed the location of the leak. The Downey’s offered space in their vehicle and didn’t leave me stranded in the middle of nowhere!
In what could have been an ugly situation we were blessed to be safe and find rides. We were able to get some sleep and were able to compete in the Royal Clash in Provo. We went 0-5 today against some elite level competition from Utah. Pleased with our progress today. We talked about raising our level and that there are 3 levels to getting where we need to be 1. Not being bad, lining up correctly and doing our job 2. Competing with energy and enthusiasm 3. Finishing, finding a way to get the win.
The elite competition in Provo really showed us our flaws and weaknesses. We know what to work on. Ute Shoot in the morning. Go Hawks!
