Meridian, ID — Hawks went 1-2-1 in the first Kingdom 7 on 7 tournament. Hawks played Boise (23-16), South Boise Gold (16-16, 7-23), and Nampa Christian (11-13). The Hawks we’re missing some players and showed cohesiveness as a program by calling up some young guys into action and giving role players a shot in bigger roles. The defense carried the day keeping the Hawks in every match up until the end. The offense struggled to find a groove after the first game leading to a first round loss. Frankly we expected to do better at this tournament. We found ourselves grateful for adversity again. We are learning how to keep our cool under pressure and respond when things don’t go our way.
