Hawks make a shift in Rexburg

Rexburg, ID — We saw some adversity just getting to our playing location. Construction had parts of I-15 shut down which made our window tighter. We also played a different schedule that anticipated due to teams canceling. We played Pocatello (35-37), Highland (21-25), Madison (29-7), Star Valley 2 (29-14), and Thunder Ridge (29-13). Hawks struggled to find the groove losing close match ups early on, but found consistency and wins in the second half of the schedule to finish 3-2 on the day. We really focused on staying “sober” and in the moment. Celebrating small victories when we demonstrated our keys to victory. Small victories lead to big shifts, better attitudes and eventually wins. Cache Beus

Cache lead the offense at QB Friday at Madison manufacturing some big plays in the passing game. Cache is really growing in his understanding of the offense. His ability to make the right read and check the ball down really helped us be consistent and efficient. Cache is emerging as a leader for our team as well.

Leon Henslee

Leon made some big plays for us a safety Friday. Picks, deflections, but most of all attitude is what Leon brings to the table. Leon is a spark plug for the defense making plays, brining great energy, and getting the guys fired up. His passion for the game and marked improvement is shining through.
