Salt Lake City, UT — Hawks went 2-2 in the Ute Shoot with wins vs Hunter and Union high. Losses to Cedar and Layton Christian in pool play. Tournament was canceled due to lightning. We saw some tough competition this weekend, which really challenged us to reevaluate and raise our level of play. We want to play the best programs during the summer so that we can see the speed and intensity required to be great. We had opportunities to implement our schemes and principles in action, but more importantly begin to shift our culture from front runners to competitors to finishers. That shift has been difficult but we saw evidence of making headway. Our program’s journey is just beginning. I am pleased with the progress. Shout out to Christine and Scott Graviet for organizing this two day event and taking care of accommodations for the team! Thanks again to Jason Dodge for fixing our bus so we could make it home comfortably and safely. Thank you to the Skyview family for sacrificing to give our boys an opportunity to compete at the highest level. Staging something like this was difficult to pull off but it was an intensely strong growth and bonding opportunity for those that went. The best is in front of us. I’m proud to be a Hawk! Coach Robi
