Harrisburg, PA — It was early, it was windy, and chilly, but the track and field squad showed up with the right mindset and attitude and ran to one new school record and established several season and career personnel bests on the day! The meet started out with the girl's 4 x 800 meter relay team of Celia Rodriguez-Gonzalez, Aubrey Bonner, Gabby Cinicola and Nicole Carroll setting the school record in a time of 10:21.92 to win the event by close to 14 secs over the second place team of Engineering and Science. From there on the girls side it was performance after performance to keep the team in the team race; at the end of the day, the girls finished tied for 4th with 45 team points. Mechanicsburg HS won the team event with 47.5 points. On the boys side, several student-athletes established season best and career best performances during the course of the day. The compete factor was there and the approach was positive. Onward to Blue Mountain on Tuesday, 4/11/23 in a battle of the only teams in Schuylkill Division 1 Teams (both boys and girls) to not lose yet in a dual meet.
