New Haven, CT — Ridgfield sent 5 wrestlers to the CT state open tournament. Andre Kosygin, Dom Barella, Victor Petkov and Freshman Johnny carrozza and Leo Moore. Dom and Victor took third and fourth respectively and will move on to New Englands to face the best competition from MA, MA,VT, RI,CT,And NH. Senior, Andre Kosygin,took 6th, competing against tough competition and falling just short of advancing. Andre showed incredible leadership as captain this year. Johnny and Leo competed against a tough field of older wrestlers but gained valuable experience for the future.
