Mustangs fail to execute against solid region opponent Evans High School in home opener
The Mustangs home opener did not go as planned, dropping a lopsided game to region opponent Evans 14-0. The boys played hard, but failed to execute on the fundamentals with numerous unforced errors that led to turnovers and penalties. By halftime Evans was up 11-0. The boys came out of halftime with focus and enthusiasm and played hard hitting physical defense, holding Evans scoreless in the third quarter. Evans would tally three more goals in the fourth quarter bringing the final score to 14-0.
