Huntington Beach, CA — RECAP: We took 10 boys to the Edison Beach Bash last Saturday. Out of the 10, 4 boys progressed to the 2nd day: Senior Beni Magyar, Juniors Hadi Hammoudeh and Joseph Tierney, and finally Sophomore Armaan Nikoo. Armaan had a tough 1st match losing in OT to a wrestler who eventually medaled and dropped his last match to a wrestler who eventually got 3rd. Hadi also had a tough first match but wrestled back to make it to the second day. Joseph dropped a tough match to the eventual Champion in the 2nd round and picked up 6 pins in a row to place 3rd. Beni pinned his way to the final dominating a tough ranked opponent in said final and earned himself Heavyweight MVP of the Tournament. He got to bring home a sweet looking belt!
