The second game of the year, and first in 11 days, was a good one for a mostly-inexperienced Newtown High School’s boys’ basketball team. The Nighthawks pulled away in the second half to defeat visiting Northwestern Regional High of Winsted 59-46, on December 27, for their first triumph of the campaign.
