Ionia, MI — Ionia Varsity Wrestling Team goes 1-1 tonight at our first home dual of the season. Your bulldogs came out tough with a big conference WIN over Charlotte 39-35.Keagan Lang and Killian Campbell both earned pins vs Charlotte. Chase Holford won a tough match at 190 by decision 9-3. Logan Rozewski and Nate Clute also tacked on a couple wins by forfeit. Ionia then fell to Holt with a Score of 58-18. Jackson Gallagher won a big match in overtime at 120 lb weight class, Killian Campbell won a tough match by decision 9-4, and both Hunter Barker and Nate Clute won there matches by pin. Going 2-0 on the night were wrestlers Killian Campbell, Hunter Barker, and Nate Clute. Going 1-1 on the night were wrestlers Logan Rozewski, Jackson Gallagher, Keagan Lang, and Chase Holford. Your Bulldogs are now 5-3 on the season and 1-0 in the Conference. We will be back on the mat next week Wednesday at Lakewood High School for the All County Tournament. Wrestling is planned to start at 1pm.
