Running Endurance Tests

Location & Date

Instructions

40 Yard Sprint Testing: We will baseline each player by running their fastest (recorded) 40 yard dash and you'll need to run at least 10 of 12 40's within .5 seconds of your recorded (fastest) time. There will be 30 seconds between each of the 12- 40s. Position coaches will run their groups. The 40's will be with cleats on the turf. 300 Yard Run: You'll also need to run a 300 yard run ( I changed from 400 so it's easier) which we will run back and forth on our new field with cleats. Here's the times you'll need to achieve to pass the 300 yard portion of the test... Positions/Passing Time for 300 Yard run RBs, QBs and Receivers: Freshman/Sophomore - 67 Seconds Junior/Seniors - 60 seconds Oline: Freshman/Sophomores - 85 Seconds Junior/Seniors - 78 Seconds If you do not pass both the 40's and 300 tests, you'll be running remedial running at the end of practices in the preseason (until you get in shape). If you do not show up for the test on the 16th, you'll automatically be running post practice with the remedial group.
