Brooklyn, MI — Today we competed in the Grass Lake invitational. It was the first cool day that we played golf in!! We finished in 3rd place on the day. Everyone played solid today with Summer Barnaby pacing the group with a 7th place finish!! Danni Swihart finished the day in 11th place and from our conversation she had a chance at a lot better score. Drew Swihart battled through a stiff back and finished with a respectable 109. Sophia Donders carried us to the finish with a 115!!! Her round included a birdie on a tough hole. She looked at me and said” I don’t know how I did that!!!!” I told her I don’t know either but do it again!! Ella Dekker had her share of bad brakes today which happens in golf more often than not. I think she found every tree today!!!! Big matches coming up on Wednesday and Thursday. Will go a long way to deciding our first half finish!!! I look for the girls to continue to battle and with some luck we can pull this off!!! I am excited for the rest of the season!!! Coach Dekker
