Clearwater, KS — 9/1/22 It was a beautiful afternoon as we participated in our first meet of the season in ClearWater, Kansas! Yesterday we had 2 runners medal and 4 runners run Personal Records (PR's)! For some of our runners this was their first 5K race they had ever run. For our returners this was an opportunity for us to get back into race shape and put our training to the test. After a hard first couple weeks of practice navigating the hot weather we have had it was encouraging to see the times we ran yesterday. Looking back at last season nobody ran a 5K race their first race and here we are early in the season running 5Ks. Lions we will want to run our best race times at the end of the season when it counts. If you did not PR let this be motivation for the coming practices/races. We want to peak at the end of the season. We are in a tremendous spot right now and will keep climbing towards faster times as the season progresses. Our season is very young. Our next race will be next week on Saturday 9/10 in Wellington, Kansas. Once I get race information I will be sending out our next race itinerary.
