Altoona, PA — The Lady Tigers made the quick trip across the county to compete in the 32 team Altoona Igloo Invitational. A chilly start to the morning soon gave way to a pleasantly sunny day. The opening race of the day, Girls 4x800m relay, which our team of Lily Clayton, Allison Burk, Seddy Clapper and Aubree Waksmonski clocked a season best 10:32.25 for 2nd. Other 2nd place finishers include senior Marin Miller with a 26.93 in the 200m and freshman Sophia Moyer in the 400m in 1:02.09 and school record holder Jenna Wilt in the pole vault with a 9-6 jump. 3rd place winners were the 4x400m relay of Allison Burk, Marin Miller, Sophia Moyer and Aubree Waksmonski with a time of 4:21.47. 4th place finishers include Marin Miller 100m dash in 12.85 and Allison Burk 300m Hurdles in 51.22. Lily Clayton took a 5th in the 800m with a 2:34.79. Emily Bumberger placed 6th in shot with 31-4 1/2 and Emily Clapper with a 6th in high jump at 4-8. The Lady Tigers rounded out top 8 finishes with the 4x100m relay of Ellen Yarnell, Anna Statler, Elizabeth Frazier and Lily Jodon in a time of 54.16. Nice job today ladies. The Golden Tiger Boys were 1 of the 32 very talented high school track and field teams who competed at the Igloo Invite Meet today. The Golden Tigers’ top finisher was Freshman Issac Yarnell with his 2nd place in the 400m dash with a time of 53.73. He was followed close behind by 3rd place finisher Drew Wyland in 54.28. Senior Ryan Frank rounded out the Tigers top 3 finishes with his 3rd place effort in the 100m dash with a time of 11.55. 4th place was taken by the 4x400m relay team of Issac Yarnell, Chase Fox, Chris Love and Drew Wyland in 3:40.55 while the 4x800m relay team of Ben Love, Chris Love, Max Pohar and Jake Clapper placed 5th with a time of 8:54.12. 6th place finishers include Caden DeLattre in the Long Jump with 20-9 1/2 and Derek Wright in the Pole Vault wi5 11-0. Caden DeLattre also jumped his way to a 7th in the Triple Jump with a leap of 41-5 3/4 and Chris Love rounded out the Tigers Top 8 finishers with his 8th in the 800m Run at 2:06.65. Good work guys.
