Arnold Varsity Marlins watched the game slip away early and couldn't recover in a 4-0 loss to McIntosh on Thursday. McIntosh scored on a triple by Joe Glozier and a double by Tate Morris in the first inning. McIntosh opened up scoring in the first inning, when Glozier tripled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run. One bright spot for Arnold Varsity Marlins was a single by Brayden Black in the first inning. Connor Soper was on the mound for McIntosh. Soper went seven innings, allowing zero runs on six hits, striking out 11 and walking one. Cooper Moss toed the rubber for Arnold Varsity Marlins. The pitcher surrendered four runs on six hits over four and two-thirds innings, striking out eight and walking zero. Ethan Gill and Darin Watson entered the game from the bullpen, throwing one and one-third innings and one inning respectively. Sam Mudge led Arnold Varsity Marlins with two hits in three at bats. McIntosh racked up six hits in the game. Morris and Glozier all managed multiple hits for McIntosh.
