TBD, KS — Welcome back, Mavericks! What a wonderful night. Here are some reminders and key dates. Before 11/15: Pre-participation physicals and Ascension waivers are due before the first practice on 11/15, 3:15pm start. These get turned into the MSHS office. If you are new to the program, purchase a practice swim suit and goggles. The team swim suit cannot be used during practice; it is for racing. You can find many options at The Starting Block. If your athlete was not at the meeting, you will go to The Starting Block to be fitted for your competition suit. Anyone who need financial assistance for purchasing these apparel items, please alert Coach Heather Richardson. There are scholarships available to help out our athletes. 11/15: First day of swimming and diving practice. If anyone needs help transporting to/from practice, please let a coach know. They can help you with the logistics. 11/16: APPAREL ORDERS ARE DUE! To receive your athlete's competition swim suit and free team t-shirt for our first meet, you MUST get your order for these items in on time. The team store is located on our Blast Athletics site. You'll purchase online. If your athlete needs to try on a suit, The Starting Block, will help you with your order. SwimQuik and The Starting Block are the same store; they just have a different name online. Yes, it's confusing. If you have questions or need help, please ask a coach. 12/3-4/21: OneMaize swimming and diving meet. We cohost this meet with Maize. It is completely volunteer led and we need your help for it to be successful. There are a lot of opportunities that do not require any prior knowledge or experience. The jobs are easy, but essential.
