Overall it was a tough day for the Lions on the boys side; on the girls side Olivia Brownell took 10th place overall in the women's 5K and beat her previous meet time! Below are the race times for each event. We did not have any PR's today from our runners. From a coaching standpoint as I reflect on today's race I remember that running takes time, patience, and experience. Sometimes you will have bad days and that is normal in this sport. Many factors go into running a good cross country time. Everyone on the team had an excellent week of practice and I was very pleased with our preparation we took at Lake Afton preparing for today's meet. It did not translate to improved race times today, but that is going to happen sometimes. Athletes as you look at your times below let this be motivation at practice this week as we prepare for league! The team will look to bounce back and run some excellent times next week at our League Meet in Newton! I have not received any information yet on League and will send that out to everyone as soon as I receive it.
