Wildcats ready to take the field.

El Paso, TX — The Fabens Wildcats had a great showing in their first scrimmage of the season. Both sub-varsity and varsity levels made big plays. Both levels ran the ball well and consistently. The rain was not going to slow down or stop the Cats. Facing two different large 5A schools will prepare these Cats for their non-district schedule! With a lot of youth on the team they will continue to get better each week. The Senior leadership on the varsity was key. Seniors Miguel Delgado, Alan Sierra, Drew Belshe, Derreck Navar, Matthew Gonzalez, JC Rodriguez, Lyonel Rodriguez led by great example. Its going to be an exciting season for our Wildcats!

Miguel Delgado

Huge pick in the endzone and ran the ball hard and effectively! Miguel ran the ball like a man possessed. Finishing his runs with power and when he lowers the shoulder opponents hit the turf.

Drew Belshe

Drew caught the ball well and helped move the chains. On defense he was all over the field making great tackles.

Derreck Navar

Came off the edge and was in the backfield making several TFL and got to the QB often.

Bulldozer, he gained the tough yards between the tackles and made several tackles on defense.

Alan Sierra

Huge off the edge on defense getting to the QB often and anchored the O-line leading the way for our backs!

Isaac Urrutia

Great change of pace when Isaac ran the ball. Made several explosive runs. Was all over the field on defense causing havoc.

Cesar Aguirre

Big time running on the lower levels! Ran the ball all over both Hanks and Jefferson defenses. Huge hits on defense. He knows how to finish runs.

Isaiah Pacheco

Set the edge for our run game all night. Finishes his blocks down the field. Had a great first high school scrimmage!
