Goddard, KS — The Andover Girls Basketball team lit up the gym in the 2nd half on Monday night vs. the Goddard Lady Lions. Both teams played solid defense and kept one another at bay ending the half with just 3 points separation in the favor of the Lady Trojans. The 2nd half was a rain party for the Trojans led by #11 Woolston (3 three-pointers) and #4 Walker (2 three-points). This spear-headed an 18-point eruption in the 3rd quarter. The 4th quarter was competitive with offensive contribution by Bailey Scoggin (Game total 9 points) and Maycee James (Game Total 11 points) for Goddard, but in the end the gap was too wide to overcome. The final score was Andover 46 - Goddard 29. The Lions move to 3-2 and host the #1 team in 5A (Andover Central) at home Friday, Jan. 8th.
